What is Dosti Kitabon Se?
It is our flagship campaign. We set up libraries inside government primary and upper primary schools so rural children have direct access to books to read, explore, and borrow. Since 15 Oct 2025 we have established 11 libraries across 8 districts of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
How is a school chosen for a new library?
We inspect government schools based on student strength, availability of a secure indoor corner or room, and active teacher commitment to maintaining a borrowing log and conducting weekly reading sessions.
Is my donation eligible for 80G tax exemption?
Yes. Shail-Satya Foundation is registered with the Government of India on NGO Darpan (UP/2025/0572608). Donations are eligible for tax exemption benefits, and receipts are issued immediately.
Can I donate books and stationery instead of money?
Yes, we gladly accept new or gently used Hindi and bilingual children's storybooks, stationery kits, and school supplies. Visit our Support Us > Donate Books page or contact secretariat@shailsatya.org for shipping addresses.
Can I sponsor an entire library in honor of someone?
Yes! A full library sponsorship is ₹15,000, which includes a branded bookshelf, 130+ storybooks, floor sitting mats, and an engraved dedicated sponsor plaque installed at the school in your name or your loved one's memory.
How do I track the progress of my sponsored library?
Every sponsor receives high-resolution photographs of the school handover, opening ceremony photos with students holding their first books, and an official digital library passport in our public directory.
